I had assumed it was a bidet mounted far too high off the ground. Figured the long handle was so you could bump it off with a cheek to keep your hands clean.

Much gnashing of teeth was involved at my end

tbh... its quite pretty... not sure i really see the point of it over a regular tap tho... (other than being pretty obviously)

I couldn’t imagine having it in my home, but it worked well in the restaurant. It fit the overall decor very well.

I usually don’t like sinks like that but with that faucet it’s pretty cool.

I’m glad you posted the second picture, because from the first it wasn’t clear to me what was supposed to happen, and from where.

I wouldn’t want it at home, but it was a great fit for the style of the restaurant.

Pretty. It makes a nice fountain, but I hate raised sink bowls.

My previous house had the exact same sinks in a different color (clear glass, chrome hardware - they are made by Kraus). I hated having them in my bathroom for a lot of reasons - hard to keep clean, got water everywhere, the toothpaste always somehow got hidden behind the bowl, the valve required a lot of maintenance - but I did like the look. They actually make a lot of sense in a restaurant bathroom where there isn't stuff to get behind them and there is someone cleaning them at least once a day.
